My son had a tantrum at Disneyland Resort?

by dai-kon

Question by My Granny Smacked Me In the Face: My son had a tantrum at Disneyland Resort?
Me and my wife took my son to Disneyland Resort and he was as good as gold while we were traveling there. The tantrum started when we were in a café and they were sold out of burgers. He was screaming and crying and he knocked over all of the chairs and threw people’s food on the floor. He ran outside and let out an almighty scream, possible being heard by every single person in Disneyland Resort, before running up to a Disney character and kicking him in the leg. I tried to calm him down by taking him on a ride but when we were on it, he kicked his seat so hard a whole peice of wood came off. I took him home immedietly but he wouldn’t stop screaming until I took him to McDonald’s to get a Happy Meal. After he finished his meal, he said “I want to go back to Disneyland Resort!”. I explained to him that it cost a lot of money to go there earlier that day and I couldn’t afford to go back. As soon as he heard this he screamed and cried in the McDonald’s restaurant and started knocking over all the tables and chairs and threw a little girl’s Happy Meal on the floor, causing her to cry. I apologised to her parents and took my son home immedietly. He is now in his bedroom crying. How should I sort this out?

not a surprise -you took a child out of his comfort zone, put him in an environment that is overstimulating, and fed him junk food. forgive him & consider returning when he’s MUCH older. opt for trips that don’t cost as much money & are gentler to his sensitive system. be sure that he knows what is appropriate behavior for the future.

Q&A: Caribe Royale vs. Sheraton Vistana Villages-All Villa Resort vs. other?

Question by 😀: Caribe Royale vs. Sheraton Vistana Villages-All Villa Resort vs. other?
My family of 4 (me – a 15 year old girl, my brother – 14 years old, and our parents) are thinking about staying there. is it a good place for the price? another place we’re thinking about is the “Sheraton Vistana Villages-All Villa Resort”. How is that one? We want an affordable hotel with nice outdoor pool(s) (or the beach would be good too), nice rooms, we want be close to disney, sea world, a water park, malls, stuff like that.
Personal experiences would be greatttt

Name of this Disney Doll?

Question by Izze: Name of this Disney Doll?
I have this Disney Doll that I bought several years ago that I’m now ready to sell, but for the life of me I cannot remember the NAME of the doll…She’s about the same size and look as an American Doll, and she’s wearing a read shirt with a picture of Mickey and the words “Disneyland Resort” on it. Shorts are blue and also have Mickey on them, and little white tennis shoes with just the silhouette of Mickey’s ears embroidered in red on the side. She also comes with a little red fanny pack and one of those Mickey ears hats. She’s basically a little tourist-themed doll. I’ll most likelly list her on eBay or Craigslist, and I just want to be accurate with her description. So if anyone happens to recognize this particular type of doll, let me know! I’ve searched elsewhere online but haven’t been able to find more info.

Thanks!

Q&A: Disney Main St. How do I subscribe?

Question by Dana P: Disney Main St. How do I subscribe?
My boyfriend’s brother received a magazine from Disneyland called “Disney Main St. (a publication about Disneyland Resort).”

It has a PIN (Personal ID Number) on the back of it, which you can use to get a special rate at the Disneyland Brand Hotels.

I have googled it, but I cant figure out how to get on this list so that I can get a PIN as well. I really want to book the Disneyland hotels but I just cannot justify spending $ 280-$ 425 for ONE night in a hotel that is not even a suite.

Any insight on this?

I would suggest checking out the following Disney fan sites that include discounts:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland/discounts.htm

http://www.mousesavers.com/disneyland.html

Also, if you have AAA, you may be able to get a discount. If you have AAA, give them a call.

Good luck!
