In which career (position) is the main job description “traveling”? & includes RESEARCH?

Question by explorer: In which career (position) is the main job description “traveling”? & includes RESEARCH?
Can any1 help me out? Im so confused. I don’t kno what to do next.
I’v recently graduated from high school. Traveling is my greatest passion, which I hope to turn into a lifestyle, but I don’t kno how. Im trying to find a career that would allow/require me to TRAVEL extensively, so that I will be in a new city/country every week/month. …..a career that also include scientific research!
And what degree would I need? Major?

I prefer land, than aquatic science.

wages – support a single person’s moderate expenditures. The traveling is work related, so it should be financed by the employer/organization. Position: Not too competitive in the job market, and preferable for females.(plz don’t suggest something like a flight attendant, cabin crew, pilot, etc.)
thnx

It would be best to get a degree first, no one is going to hire you without it in that field. Sales, Historian, Librarian.

Need tips for a single female traveling “Round the World”?

Question by KD: Need tips for a single female traveling “Round the World”?
Hi, I’m planning on traveling around the world next year and I
need to really start planning now. I’ve already contacted a travel agent (STA travel) and mapped out my ideal travel coordinates.

From California
9 Weeks through the west side of South America (Ecuador down to Argentina)
Volunteer 2-3 Weeks in Kenya
2 Weeks in Egypt
3 weeks in Greece
3 days Israel
5-7 days Jordan
Volunteer 2 Weeks Thailand
3-4 Weeks Vietnam

I’m doing this alone since none of my friends or family seems to want to. I’m a bit concerned since I’m a twenty-something female traveling alone so I just want to know what precautions I need. Should I be careful and tour some of the countries?

What budget should I save up?

I only have an Eagle Creek backpack for my whole trip and I’ve never really learned to pack light so what do I need to do to pack modestly? (sleeping bags needed?)

As you can see, I wanna learned EVERYTHING I can now.

Thanks.

Buy clothing that is light and airy and doesn’t really wrinkle. Try comfortable clothing, maybe jersey or linen. I don’t think that you will need a sleeping bag since your travel againt is probably going to be taking care of your sleeping arrangements. Most hostels and things have linens, So i wouldn’t worry about bringing that stuff. I would learn how to say police and help in each of the languages of the countries that you are going to be travelling to. Maybe get a multiband cell phone that will work anywhere in the world so that if you do run into trouble you can call the police in that area, also have the numbers of those countries American Embassy’s or consulates stored in the phone. I would probably save up a few thousand dollars, maybe 5 just incase anything were to happen. So if you need to book a flight out of somewhere in a hurry, you will have the money. I know personally that Greece is pretty expensive.
Be safe and always be aware of your surroundings. Always trust your gut, if something doesn’t feel right, get out of there.
Good Luck!

Can you tell me why my pisces ‘friend’ acts like this….?

Question by mjmotr: Can you tell me why my pisces ‘friend’ acts like this….?
weve been knowing each other for a while(long distance) he calls me everynight on the dot but lately hes beginning to me call earlier and earlier and lately when he calls early hes beginning to sound sort of (i dont want to be concieted) but ecstatic about talking to me. weve told each other every single thing you can find in the book! and thats alot

i dont know if ive made it clear enough but ive told my pisces friend that i love him twice(but playfully) .ive made it clear, though, that when we see each other i want him to be my boyfriend in between the i love yous. he ignors stuff like, acts totally oblivious to it so i dont bring it up or ask why.

and then…(btw hes bisexual) i tell him about this guy ive had a crush on….i always talk to him abt the guys in my life.BUT knowing ive said these things to him(ie i love you-bf thing), he still urges me to go for the guy ive had a crush on. he told me the other day that hed 99.9% would get married to another guy but yesterday he was talking about the future and he said “i want me and my wife to travel.”

my friend and my sister asked if he like me but he NEVER gave a stright answer.

why is this?
should i save myself the embarassment?

btw im a gemini and him and i have everything EVERYTHING lol in common
and we wont see each other for a year

It doesn’t matter if he’s a pisces or a gemini, it seems to me that he just wants to be friends, not lovers, so accept the relationship as it is and be a friend, which is what he wants.

Why is democrat Nancy Pelosi using the air force to host her version of a frat party?

Question by Obama – Wimp in the White House: Why is democrat Nancy Pelosi using the air force to host her version of a frat party?
It reads like a dream order for a wild frat party: Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey … and Corona beer.

But that single receipt makes up just part of the more than $ 101,000 taxpayers paid for “in-flight services” – including food and liquor, for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trips on Air Force jets over the last two years. That’s almost $ 1,000 per week.

Documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by Judicial Watch, which investigates and prosecutes government corruption, show Pelosi incurred expenses of some $ 2.1 million for her use of Air Force jets for travel over that time.

“Speaker Pelosi has a history of wasting taxpayer funds with her boorish demands for military travel,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said today. “And these documents suggest the Speaker’s congressional delegations are more about partying than anything else.”

Part of the tab for alcoholic drinks on a congressional trip arranged by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

Fed up with the condescending clowns in Congress? Send them a “pink slip!”

You betcha…Throw the Republicrat/Demolicians out! Leave the Democrat and Republican parties. Vote Independent, “Independent” which is really “Decline to State” or “No Party”. The last true American party left.

Difficult math riddle…help!!!?

Question by bonjour: Difficult math riddle…help!!!?
“An army, lined up single file, is one mile long. It starts marching at a uniform rate. It marches exactly one mile, then stops. At exactly the time it started marching, a messanger at the back of the line begins jogging toward the front of the line at a uniform rate. When he reaches the front of the line, he instantaneously drops off a message and turns around and heads back to the end of the line. He reaches the end of the line just as the army starts marching. What distance did the messanger travel?”

Thank you.

Best answer:

Answer by callie
2 miles from back to front
then back to the back would be another 2 miles

so 4 miles altogether.
