Passport needed for my cruise?

Question by Tracine: Passport needed for my cruise?
Hi! My fiancee and I are taking a 14 day cruise from LA to Hawaii November 10th on board the Princess Cruise Liner – “Golden Princess”. Both my Fiancee and myself are Americans. There are 4 days spent on the Hawaiian islands and on the last day of the trip – the boat ports at Ensandada Mexico. Will we need a passport for our trip even if we do NOT want to get off the boat at Ensandada? Would a birth certificate work just as fine? Thanks!!!

I’m sure they’d tell you if that was the case, but I’d just call them.

Do you have to have a passport to go on EVERY cruise???

Question by Nycole P: Do you have to have a passport to go on EVERY cruise???
My husband is trying to plan my birthday trip .I told him i wanted to go on a cruse. We would like to leave either out of New Orleans or Texas…somewhere around that area. Theres only one problem….. about 20yrs ago he got into some trouble so now hes stuck with the “title” of a felon. I heard you cannot get a passport if you were a convicted felon…. any suggestion???

Answer by Esmerelda
Go to the passport info website at www.usps.com/passport.

Chances are there should be no problem unless the terms of his parole or release restrict him from international travel. That’s what you need to find out. Otherwise there is nothing in the law to restrict him from traveling.

Q&A: My 13 year old son does NOT have a passport, will he be allowed to embark on a cruise from LA to Mexico?

Question by Bryan: My 13 year old son does NOT have a passport, will he be allowed to embark on a cruise from LA to Mexico?
The cruise is planned for July 2-6, 2007, we are not ‘flying’ into Mexico and will return to the U.S.on the cruise line. “Royal Caribbean”.

I understand that a passport will be required in 2008 for ALL travel to Canada and Mexico.

My wife and I will travel together with our son and we have valid passports.

What does my son require to travel – if anything is acceptable – other than a passport?

Best answer:

Answer by jedali2006
you better go to the passport office and get a passport for your son, it cost a little more if you want it at the moment, i don’t suggest get it from the post office it takes more than 2 months for them to send it to you.

Q&A: Carnival cruise information?

by z_fishies

Question by taralasse855: Carnival cruise information?
I am going on a carnival cruise “Destiny” if that meanss anything and I was wondering what are you allowed to bring with you on the ship? Can you bring food along alcohol or soda? Or are these things you have to purchase on the ship? And if so how much do things like this cost? My fiance and I are going on the ship for our hunnymoon and are on a tight budget. We have been together for 6 years and have never been on a vacation. so this is our first which we are very excitted about! But If you can helo me with any other important information that would help that would be great!
Thank you so much!

Best answer:

Answer by ~♥just me♥ ~
I believe you are allowed to take a 6 pack of soda per passenger on board with you. The only alcohol you may take on board is wine and there is a corkage fee if you do. Any alcohol you buy while at your stops will be confiscated and then given back to you at the end of your cruise.

Soda and alcohol on board is a bit pricey, but not too bad if you only want it occasionally. You can also buy Fountain Fun cards, which give you unlimited soda during the length of your cruise. I believe there is something similar for alcohol, but I am not sure.

Have a blast on your cruise. It is the only kind of vacation you’ll ever want to take again!! 😀
