Despite its increasing popularity as a holiday destination, Croatia has remained committed to preserving the extraordinary beauty of its coastline. From its pristine forests and majestic waterfalls to its ancient cities, Croatia offers visitors the untouched feel of a newly-discovered holiday destination, one which presents a truly different experience to many other popular European resorts.

Dubrovnik, the capital city of Croatia, has many hidden treasures just waiting to be unearthed by those holidaymakers who are willing to look. And if you choose an escorted holiday package, complete with experienced tour guide, you won’t have to look very hard at all.

Choose an eight day holiday to Dubrovnik and, as well as having the chance to enjoy fascinating excursions around the walled city itself, you will be able to cruise to the beautiful and remote Elaphite Islands. Accompanied by a tour guide, you’ll be given just enough information about your surroundings to ensure that you get the most out of your trip. Choose the right escorted holiday and – as well as the Elaphite Islands – you will be taken on all-inclusive full day tours of the neighbouring country of Montenegro and the city of Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The city of Mostar has a rich history and a gentle stroll around the restored streets will transport you to another world, complete with a seventeenth-century mosque, sixteenth-century Stari Most (‘Old Bridge’) and an abundance of Modernist architecture.

Stopping in Montenegro, you’ll experience a country offering everything from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kotor, to Budva, a 2,500-year-old settlement which clings seductively to the beautiful Adriatic coast. An eight day trip to the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea is an exciting and unique experience, both for sunseekers looking for stunning white sandy beaches, and for those wanting an authentic taste of Central European culture and cuisine.

One of the great things about an escorted holiday to Dubrovnik is that you will follow a carefully researched and planned itinerary, saving you from worrying about anything more than booking your holiday through a reputable operator. The best operators will give you a breakdown of the itinerary online, so that you know exactly what you’re getting before you decide to reserve your place. They will also book you into an excellent range of three- and four- star hotels, which will mean that you are in exactly the right place to experience the activities, tours and cruises on offer.

Dubrovnik itself is packed full of things to do and if you’re looking for total relaxation, you’ll find the beautiful and historic streets of this Croatian city easy to wander around at a pace which suits you; the hidden treasures of Dubrovnik holidays really are there for everyone to discover.

Escorted Tours can be a great way to see and explore more on Dubrovnik Holidays as well as many other destinations where these holiday types can be found.
