The Rise In Popularity of Dance Holidays

Dance holidays are becoming more and more popular these days, regardless of age or gender. Dancing keeps you fit and is a lot of fun. Whether you are a total beginner or have been dancing for many years, there is a dance holiday for you.

A dance holiday is also a great way to meet like-minded people and make new friends. If you love to travel and you love to dance, combining the two could be a wonderful experience.

There are many styles of dancing. You have probably heard of tango, salsa and foxtrot, for example. Tango originated in South America in the nineteenth century and is known as being a passionate, exciting dance. Salsa is a dance based on music with two bars of four beats. You usually take three steps then skip a beat, as you shift your weight to the other foot, keeping in perfect time with the music.

The foxtrot involves a slow-slow-quick-quick step and is easy to learn. If you choose a dance holiday, you will be able to take part in dance courses, tailored to your level of expertise. Technique, style and choreography will be included and the course will be light-hearted and a lot of fun.

There are many exotic destinations catering to dance holidays now, as the trend really takes off. You can choose from European resorts, holidays throughout North and South America, the Caribbean and even cruises. Immersing yourself in a different culture while enjoying that culture through dance is a fantastic experience and everything is organized for you.

You choose how many classes you want to attend, what kind of accommodation and resort you prefer and the rest is arranged for you. Cuba could be a good choice if you fancy combining salsa and merengue classes with mojitos and exploring old Havana. Spain is world famous for salsa and flamenco and a fascinating country to visit. New York is an exciting and vibrant city and a great place to learn ballroom dancing, latin dancing or even try out line dancing, while enjoying the culture and meeting new people.

A salsa holiday in Tenerife will be guaranteed to recharge your batteries. With year round sunny weather and great nightlife, Tenerife is a great spot to indulge in dancing. If you just can’t make up your mind, a mini cruise or full cruise will enable you to visit a variety of interesting destinations whilst practicing your steps both on-board and at the resorts.

If you don’t fancy traditional ballroom or latin dancing, you can try something fun like belly dancing classes, modern jive or even Bollywood. There are also sequence dancing and line dancing holidays. Dance holidays are so popular now that if you can think of a type of dance, there is probably a dance holiday to cover it.

Even if you dance regularly at home, taking dance classes in a new and exotic setting is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

Belly Dancing is a Glorious Way to Lose your Inhibitions

Belly dancing per se has been around for centuries and the very word brings to mind images of lithe women rolling their bodies sinuously to the call of music. Its origin seems to drift historically between oriental or inspired by the Romany gypsies. Today, however, belly dancing is more of a celebration of myriad cultures, which seeks to incorporate the best of all the cultures that have laid a claim on belly dancing. Tribal belly dancing is this beautiful, passionate fusion of cultures that glo

Explore The Aquatic Wonders Of Egypt With Cheap Holidays to Sharm el Sheikh

Edit Article |

]]>

Over the past twenty years a small fishing village has been transformed into one of Africa’s premier holiday resorts. Holidaymakers are now just as likely to enjoy cheap holidays to Sharm el Sheikh as they are to visit Magaluf or the Costa Del Sol. The advantage Egypt has over the well trodden beaches of the European resorts is that so many of the facilities are modern, and being outside of the Eurozone the tourist Pound stretches a whole lot further.

Ras Mohamed on the southernmost tip of Sinai has the pick of Aquatic life and is great for diving around the world famous coral reefs and shipwrecks of the area at the tip of Sinai. For the adrenaline fuelled holidaymaker a short trip over to the Gulf of Suez is a must for a spot of kitesurfing or windsurfing on the blustery west coast.

The nightlife in Sharm el Sheikh is definitely one of the areas highlights and totally different to the historical image Egypt projects to the outside world. Visitors can spend an evening on the main street bars, sitting on comfy Egyptian cushions smoking Shisha pipes or head to one of the mainstream clubs. Naama has a ministry of Sound and Pacha for holidaymakers that really want to let their hair down.

One of Sharm el Sheikhs most popular resorts is the Hilton Sharks Bay. A four-star resort, Sharks bay seems to provide that bit more to make it feel like excellent value for money. There is a decent choice of bars and restaurants to keep guests entertained, and feeling as if they are somewhere a bit different every night. For parents there is a children’s playground to take the younger ones to and a watersports centre for older children and adults. The hotel has direct access to a beach so any exciting activities and watersports can be combined with periods of sunbathing and relaxation.

Another good choice of resort is the Royal Albatros Moderna, offering some great onsite facilities, including diving facilities and a watersports centre. For holidaymakers preferring to relax there is a miniature golf course and free poolside sunbeds to soak up the rays. The hotel is also in close proximity to the beach so guests are never far from an enjoyable day of relaxation, with watersports included. The hotel has some excellent suites ranging from spacious family suites that include rather homely living rooms, to the opulent two bedroom, two bathroom royal suites, large enough to sleep four adults comfortably.

]]>

Winter is when skiers start to think about booking their skiing holiday. In Europe there are hundreds of destinations to choose from. France, Switzerland and Austria all have very popular ski resorts, but if you are looking for a bargain then try Eastern Europe. Borovets in Bulgaria and the high Tatra mountains in Slovakia are attracting increasing numbers of skiers. A survey by pricerunner.co.uk and travelex.co.uk revealed that not only are the Eastern European resorts much cheaper than the popular destinations in the Alps, but they are also rated quite highly. Bansko in Bulgaria, Jasna in Slovakia, Zelezna Ruda in the Czech Republic and Kranjska Gora in Slovenia all got a mention.

If you are unsure which resort to pick, companies such as Forbes create a list of the top ski resorts in the world. The list will contain many Western and European resorts primarily because of the quality of the snow and the village atmosphere. New England has snow, but it won’t feature much on the list. This is because its snow tends to be icy, not powdery like the snow in Europe which is better for skiing. However, skiing holidays are about more than the quality of the snow. Resorts such as Aspen are hugely popular and the slopes are crowded, meaning that you probably spend more time waiting for the chair lift than on the slopes. Another consideration is the après-ski scene. For some people this is the best part of the holiday. There should be plenty of opportunities for dining, drinking and swapping stories in front of a log fire. It is also a good idea to choose somewhere that has activities other than skiing, just in case your legs need a rest from the slopes. Your accommodation is also important and should be comfortable with easy access to the slopes.

Ski holidays can be expensive, but there are ways to save money. When you book your holiday you should consider a package deal as these often work out cheaper. A single lift ticket can be very expensive. Try booking at the last minute and stay in catered accommodation to save on eating out. Book your ski pass and ski hire online and always pay in local currency.

Ski resorts that regularly make it into the top 10 lists are:

Aspen: Located in the beautiful state of Colorado, Aspen always features on the list of top ski resorts due to its excellent ski runs that are suitable for skiers of all abilities. It is also the place where you have the chance to ski with the rich and famous although the downside of this is that it is not cheap!

Cortina: Another top choice is this stylish Italian ski resort which hosted the Olympic Games in 1956. Cortina was one of the world’s first ski resorts. The Cortina Ski World is located in the Alps and is one of the most scenic places in the world, with 120 kilometres of ski trails and 52 lifts.

Mont-Tremblant: Canada’s best known ski resort first opened in 1939 and has recently been given a billion facelift. It is a compact ski resort lying in the pretty Laurentian Mountains. The village has a distinctive French feel to it and it has a number of cafes and bistros in cosy log cabins, as well as boutiques and restaurants. The skiing is suitable for mixed groups and there is a good ski school. Another plus for this resort is that it is just one hour from Montreal for those who would like to do some sight-seeing along with their skiing.

Stowe: Located in Vermont, this is another American resort famed for its picturesque setting. It has the largest vertical drop in the area and is famous for its double-black diamond ‘Four Front’ trails, suitable for experienced skiers. However, it also offers trails suitable for intermediate skiers and beginners. Away from the ski slopes it has over 90 shops and 60 restaurants.

Chamonix Mont-Blanc: Situated in the French Alps, it played host to the first Winter Olympic Games in 1924. It lies at the foot of Mont-Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps. It is renowned for its vertical drop of 9,209 feet and for having one of the world’s longest runs, the Vallee Blance, at 13.7 miles.

Banff/Lake Louise: This ski resort in Alberta, Canada is located in the Banff National Park. It is one of the most scenic mountain resorts in North America and has very reliable snow conditions. Covering 4,200 acres it offers tree-lined runs, smooth slopes and plunging bowls, providing ideal skiing for everyone from the novice to the expert.

Vail: Another ski resort in Colorado, Vail claims to be America’s favourite resort. With 5,300 acres of skiable terrain it has the largest ski area in the USA. Vail also has a lot to offer besides skiing with art galleries, ballooning, dog sledding, museums, ice skating, hockey and snowmobiling.

Zermatt: Switzerland’s top resort is a picturesque village and a car-free area at the foot of the Matterhorn. It has the second biggest lift-served vertical drop in the world. Zermatt has large snowfalls and the longest skiing season in the Alps.

Kitzbuhel: The most famous resort in the Austrian Tyrol. Skiing began here in 1892 and the 700-year old village still retains its traditional charm. Kitzbuhel is home to the Hahnenkahm the most dangerous and famous of the downhill ski races and is Austria’s winter entertainment capital. It has excellent skiing and snowboarding, but due to its low altitude snow may be lacking on the lower slopes.

Whistler/Blackcomb: This resort in British Columbia provides the best skiing in North America with the biggest vertical drop. It has 8,171 acres of skiable terrain and has been voted North America’s Favourite Ski Resort by OntheSnow.com visitors. The village has cafes, spas, galleries, international stores and over 100 restaurants that feature cuisines from around the world including French, Chinese, Italian, Mexican and more.

Flight News On New Helicopter R66 Turbine Engine & Hlicopter Safaris

This is definitely not “just another Robinson…..” It has been a while since I have experienced so much flight enjoyments/satisfaction in a new type . My advice to current owners of five-seater turbine machines is to get rid of them. This new kid on the block is going to win the hearts of many private/corporate owners. It’s affordable, simple, easy to fly and cost effective. I believe the “ultimate Robinson” has arrived!

Q&A: I’m making my mom a mix CD for the holidays, any song suggestions?

Question by Danielle.: I’m making my mom a mix CD for the holidays, any song suggestions?
She likes a lot of piano songs or anything that sounds good like that…
I already have:
“Annie Waits” by Ben Folds
“Penny on the Train Track” by Ben Kweller
“California” by Phantom Planet
“Dark Blue” by Jack’s Mannequin
“Song For Audrey” by Backseat Goodbye
“Lady Madonna” by The Beatles
“Waiting on the World to Change” by John Mayer
“I Always Knew” by Tilly and the Wall
“Philosophy” by Ben Folds Five
“Samson” by Regina Spektor
“Globes and Maps” by Something Corporate
“I’m Ready” by Jack’s Mannequin
“Existentialism on Prom Night” by Straylight Run

Any suggestions? I’d also like if there isn’t so much bad language in there, haha.
