Hotwire’s secret feature saves you money on hotels

Looking to save money on hotels? Try a  Hotwire.com hot deal. Hotwire won’t reveal the name of the exact hotel you’ll be getting until after you’ve booked but they’ll usually give you a clue that’s almost 100% correct. An example is when you we looked up Las Vegas hotels we were shown a hotel described as “4-star Casino Hotel in Las Vegas Convention Center – Country Club area” then later Hotwire states if you click the listing “Book soon! The last person got the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.” The rate was $45.00 per night! Incredible savings and not once out of hundreds of hotel bookings with Hotwire was the “last person got” hotel mentioned not booked. You can save up to 70% on rack rates!

Now That Obama Has Awakend The States “Not Near The Water”, Will The Progressives Have To Go Back Into Hiding?

by Manitoba Historical Maps

Question by Les: Now That Obama Has Awakend The States “Not Near The Water”, Will The Progressives Have To Go Back Into Hiding?
Look at the “Red/Blue maps” from recent years if you need something to refer to….and don`t you dare look at the “1984 Red/Blue map”, that would surely confuse many of you young people……Now, back to the question…Will the progressives (like monsters) be beaten down in 2010 and 2012 and have to regroup once again, reincarnating themselves into something more “palatable” for some future generation ?……Will they ?…..I`d tell you all what I think but I know that would scare away a lot of the leftists here, and I want to hear from them….I`ll chime in later…so where are you on this ?
Many a “Red Stater” sat it out in 2008….McCain !!!???….now we have the TEA movement and so much more…Many more millions of Americans have been turned off by the obvious attempts at socialism by their current president.
Many a “con” in many blue states sat it out or bought the media driven Chicago rhetoric that Obama was “good” for America.

Lord willing they’ll be driven back to their coast and eventually into the sea (or they can go to France, Canada, Mexico, etc…)

Are these leather sandals water tolerant?

by vnoel

Question by Michael: Are these leather sandals water tolerant?
I just bought a pair of these sandals:
http://www.famousfootwear.com/product.asp?product_id=1008337&variant_id=10709

I live in Florida and I’m trying to break them in, but I hear it’s supposed to rain today and tomorrow. I think these will be fine in puddles and such, but I just need to see that the colors won’t run or anything. And can these sandals be worn to the beach? My dad wouldn’t originally let me buy these sandals because I needed “water sandals” like Teva. Are these leather sandals good for going to the beach or something like that?

Best answer:

Answer by karthik m
leather sandals have fungus formation if exposed to water so its better to wear rubber boots or sandals during the rainy season

what does “water sleeps, and the enemy is sleepless” mean?

Question by rpm_1337: what does “water sleeps, and the enemy is sleepless” mean?
I am reading the book “Dracula” by Bram Stoker and in chapter three it says “Aye, and more than that, endless duty of the frontier guard, for as the Turks say, ‘water sleeps, and the enemy is sleepless.'” This idiom interests me, but I have no idea what it is trying to say. Can anyone help me?

Best answer:

Answer by k4ch3l
I can’t say for certain but I would take it as this.

Water is a powerful force. It gives life, but can take it away. It can surge, flood and drown, it can destroy. But water can ‘sleep’: it can lay calm without being destructive. However, an enemy can be much more relentless than water: they are ‘sleepless’ meaning they never rest; they are always fighting for their victims’ destruction.

Hope that made sense/helped!
